For 75 years

For 75 years

2024

Since 2020, Nils has joined the team to take over the company with his two friends, François-Xavier and Tadeusz. Together, they are primarily working on optimising their tools and processes to professionalise the company and be at the forefront in terms of quality in their services. Over the years, EMBELCO has continued to evolve successfully, expanding its expertise and services.

2016

The approach of Edwin and Didier led EMBELCO to specialize in contemporary art and expand collaboration to collectors, art galleries, and designers. EMBELCO then established strong partnerships with key players in the art world, well beyond European borders.

2000

For 20 years, EMBELCO worked with renowned antique dealers such as L'Egide and Costermans. From Paris to New York to Singapore, the company ensured the transport of precious collection pieces.

In 2000, Philippe-Albert De Bergeyck handed over the business to his son and nephew, Edwin and Didier.

1980

Bought in 1980 by Philippe-Albert De Bergeyck, the family business quickly took a new direction by specializing in the antiques' transport.

1947

EMBELCO (a contraction of 'emballage' (packaging), 'Belgique' (Belgium) and 'interCOntinental') was created in 1947 with the aim of supplying industrial packaging and facilitating its transport, particularly to Africa and other destinations.

We aim to find solutions for any challenge

We do this while understanding our responsibility to innovate whenever possible in the fields of sustainability, service, and product development.
